Our survey field crews are outfitted with technology that allows them to work more efficiently and deliver projects on time and within budget. We utilize a centralized scheduling system that allows access to all offices for resource planning and maximizes our response time.

Troy Williams, LS
Senior Vice President: Survey
Troy Williams is the Senior Vice President of Survey at Hurt & Proffitt and has risen progressively through the ranks of the survey department as his years of experience accrued. Throughout his career he has coordinated and managed many large scale geodetic mapping projects for road and utility design and has built and maintained relationships with clients that have been strengthened with time and successful projects.

Adam Bryant, LS
Vice President: Director of Survey - Lynchburg
Adam Bryant is the Director of Surveying in Lynchburg, and has moved progressively throughout his time with Hurt & Proffitt. He manages the survey department in Lynchburg while continuing to manage projects for several existing and new clients. He has overseen a broad spectrum of survey projects with a focus on large scale boundary surveys at private, state and federal levels. He is currently licensed in Virginia, West Virginia and the U.S. Territory of Guam.

Bradley Tate, LS
Vice President: Wytheville Office - Survey
Bradley is the Wytheville Office Branch Manager as well as Project Manager for Hurt & Proffitt’s Survey Department. He has gained a wide range of surveying experience at Hurt & Proffitt and has worked on everything from airport design surveys to subdivision roadway design and layout.

Chris Kaknis, LS
Vice President: Blacksburg Survey
Chris’s experience includes all aspects of surveying. He has worked closely with VDOT and gained complete mastery of their rules and methodology. He interfaces with clients and Survey managers and provides oversight to facilitate successful projects. He is licensed in Virginia, West Virginia, and North Carolina.

Neil Martin, LS
Director of Survey: Blacksburg
Neil has overseen projects as a survey project manager in Virginia, North Carolina, West Virginia, Maryland, Ohio and Kentucky. These involved base mapping and topographic for design, route, derailment, tunnel and bridge location and monumentation, construction staking, roadbed instability, record drawings, road crossing, construction management, hydraulics, right of way, boundary and easement surveys.

Donnie Scrivener
Construction Project Manager
Donnie Scrivener is the Construction Project Manager for Hurt & Proffitt, and is an integral part of the daily functionality of the survey department. He has extended experience within the construction stakeout facet of surveying and has been involved with numerous large scale stakeout surveys. He manages all of the construction stakeout within the Lynchburg Survey Department and maintains an intimate working knowledge and oversight of all of ongoing projects.
