Our materials testing laboratory is regularly inspected and approved by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and the Virginia Department of Transportation. Hurt & Proffitt’s laboratory includes eight nuclear density gauges and a thin lift asphalt gauge, a complete line of calibrated lab equipment for soils and concrete testing, permeability testing, CBR and soil compressive strength testing, particle size analysis equipment for soil and aggregate, organic impurities test equipment, and much more. For added convenience for our clients, we also have a complete mobile soils and concrete field laboratory.
