Lynchburg General Hospital - Bed Tower

In 2005, Centra Health broke ground on a new five-story patient care tower at Lynchburg General Hospital designed to meet the growing demand for services from patients in the region. The $60 million, 140,000 square-foot tower of brick and glass includes 108 patient rooms and separate floors for cancer patients, surgery patients, and a new Ortho-Spine Center.

Hurt & Proffitt provided geotechnical investigations, environmental site assessment, topographic, boundary, utility location, and construction stakeout surveying, preliminary and final site design and construction documents, civil engineering of utilities, stormwater management, and construction testing and inspection.
