Montpelier - Home of James & Dolley Madison

In 1723, James Madison’s grandfather acquired the land that later would be Montpelier, the grand farm and home where Madison grew up and then retired upon leaving the White House in 1817 as our fourth president.
It was Hurt & Proffitt’s great honor to work for the National Trust for Historic Preservation when it was determined that Montpelier needed a design overhaul of its potable water and fire suppression systems.
Our charge was to help the Trust get the property ready for the 250th anniversary of Madison’s birth.
We did it. |
