Virginia Museum of Natural History

The Virginia Museum of Natural History is our newest major state museum. It’s full of rocks and bones and animals and bugs. And, kids love it.

Hurt & Proffitt worked hand-in-glove with top-notch architects to produce this new $12.5 million, 73,000 square foot museum on an urban three-acre site in downtown Martinsville, VA

We provided all geotechnical investigations, surveying (topo, boundary, and construction), and site planning services.

It’s a marvelous new museum. People will enjoy our work for eons to come.
